Made for FW26:
The Rally started with an inspiration in motor racing. Low profile, close to the floor, nothing on the shoe that doesn't need to be there.
The Rally Sneaker takes the upper panelling and detailing from our Storm Runner and sets it on a classic racing silhouette, the flat, fast shape that ran through UK street style in the 2000s. Premium suede in tan and grey, real rubber underneath.
FW26 pants run baggy, our denim is curved and flared, built to break and stack over the shoe. A chunky sneaker fights that. A low, flat racing profile lets the hem fall the way it was cut to.
Thick suede, a full lining and a real rubber outsole. It is built heavier than it looks and holds up through a wet season better than a lightweight runner or a canvas shoe.
The same goes for the wide-leg cargos and the heavier outerwear. The Rally holds the bottom of the silhouette down while everything above it runs oversized. It is the shoe the rest of the season was drawn around.
How Rally Was Built:
Every shoe is built around a last, the foot-shaped mould that decides how it holds you. The Rally's was engineered to sit as close to the foot as possible, with no wasted space and no unnecessary bulk. That is what gives it its shape: narrow through the middle, close underfoot, without the padding most sneakers hide behind.
Most lifestyle sneakers buy their comfort by stacking foam under your heel and adding height you did not ask for. The Rally does the opposite.
Inside sits a super critical foam insole, the kind of performance foam normally kept for elite running shoes. It gives you genuine cushioning while keeping the shoe as low to the ground as it looks, so you get the feel of a performance shoe in something built to be worn every day rather than raced in.
Underneath, a 100% rubber outsole is cut to follow the anatomy of the foot, with a tread drawn from rally track surfaces. The upper is 100% premium suede-leather, lined with breathable performance mesh.
Where footwear has moved:
We've closely monitored what has been coming down the runways across the major fashion cities and the direction is hard to miss.
That matters here, because we've have spent years known for the opposite. Heavy soles, weight and volume underfoot, the chunky shoes and mules that run through the brand.
The Rally is a deliberate move the other way. It is the first shoe in the range built around restraint rather than mass, and it gives the collection a silhouette it did not have.
The Rally was developed in six colourways. George and Michael cut it back to two: tan and grey suede.
A shoe like this only works if it stays quiet, and these were the two that sat properly alongside the washed blacks, dirty neutrals and faded colour running through the rest of FW26.
